The Process: How You Actually Improve🔄

Most people misunderstand how progress happens. 🧠

They think results come from individual training sessions — like each appointment stands alone. 🧩

It doesn’t work that way. 📈

Progress is a continuous process. 🔄 The training session creates the stimulus for change. What happens between sessions doesn’t determine whether progress happens — but it can enhance how much you get from the work you already did.

You’ve already done the work during the session. 💥 The goal is to get as much adaptation from it as possible.

Step 1: The Training Session (The Stimulus) 💥🏋️‍♂️⚡

A training session isn’t just time on the schedule. ⏱️

It’s a precise stimulus. 🎯

We apply the right force, at the right level, for your body through Strategic Progressive Resistance Training. 🏋️‍♂️ That force sends a clear message to your system: adapt. ⚡

No stimulus = nothing to adapt to. 🚫
Wrong stimulus = limited or inconsistent progress. ⚠️

The session starts the process. ▶️

Step 2: Recovery (Where Change Happens)

Your body does not improve during the session.

It improves afterward — during recovery — when your system adapts to the stimulus it received.

Recovery is when adaptation occurs.
The training session creates the stimulus. Recovery is when your body responds to it.

Certain behaviors can help you get more from that stimulus. This is where the idea of working smarter, not harder comes in.

Examples include:

  • Sleep 😴
  • Protein 🍗
  • Hydration 💧
  • Avoiding smoking 🚭
  • Limiting alcohol 🍷

Doing these well doesn’t create adaptation — the stimulus already did that.

They don’t create adaptation — they improve how much of it you realize.

Step 3: Repeat the Process 🔁📈

Progress comes from repeating the cycle:

Training session (stimulus) → Recovery (adaptation) → Repeat 🔁

No stimulus = no adaptation. 🚫
Too much time between sessions = lost adaptation. ⏳

Consistency allows progress to build over time. 📈

Your Role in the Process

You contribute in two ways:

1️⃣ Showing up so the right stimulus can be applied.
2️⃣ Supporting recovery to enhance the adaptation from that stimulus.

When you understand this, training stops feeling like isolated appointments. You start seeing progress as a continuous process — one that keeps moving forward between sessions.

The Bottom Line

Sessions provide the stimulus. Recovery enhances the change. 🔥

Progress = stimulus + recovery, repeated over time. 📈
